Just like with boardgames, MrShadyRaven has been developing TTRPGs since 2009, with progress being done in various editions, with improvements over time. The main goal was to create a system with full flexibility for both combat and RP, and allow for diverse experiences each time, without ever feeling repetitive.
Below you will find both a list of editions, and their code names, as well as various games that were created within said editions.
NOTE: If you wish to access any specific version, kindly feel free to reach out to MrShadyRaven, and he will try his best to accomodate! It is also easier to request a specific game to be imported into either 3.0 or 4.0 editions, due to those versions being actively worked on and updated.
The original version of the system, dubbed Bonds of Loyalty, had an emphasis on cooperative play, and playing multiple characters, or with allies. This system also introduced the "no-level" concept for characters, as well as the "training" system for various different statistics and attributes.
Naruto: Bonds of the Shinobi
Star Wars: Stories of Legacies
The Aphelion Programme: Unknown Ventures
Pawns of the Gods: A Quest of Fates
Mobile Suit Gundam: The Exploration Century
Nova Rendition was a revision designed for 1.0, which focused on introducing balancing mechanics for all the 1.0 releases, as well as new classes, races, and overall builds. Additionally, it was optimized for nigh-unlimited expansions of the maps and terrains, without worrying about lore and world-build breaking.
Additionally, several new versions were released, including the sequel to the first of the "Gwalethia Series", which was known as "A Quest of Fates". Additionally, the "Power System" was introduced.
A Quest of Fates: Gwalethia's Second Age
Full Metal Alchemist: A Time of Peace
A Hero's Journey: The Problems of Powers
Westeros: The Age of Heroes
Sorrowful Mourns, was the first major overhaul of the system itself; focusing heavily on user-friendly upgrades, without dumbing down the system itself. This version introduced a revamp to the character sheets, as well as introduced automated, spreadsheet-based character sheets, where the majority of the math would be done on its own, to avoid user-error.
A Quest of Fates: The Fall of the Second Age
A New Beginning: Colonies Lost
Star Wars: The Unknown Regions
Fated Ends was introduced to expand upon the coding done for Sorrowful Mourns, as well as simplify the interface and design of the various sheets, to make it easier for users to understand what they needed to know. Additionally, it was used as a test-bed for the next edition, where a complete overhaul was planned, but could not be done in a single go.
Additionally, Fated Ends introduced dynamic species and races, where new ones could be created more easily by the chroniclers.
A Quest of Fates: The Fall of the Second Age - The Isles of the Southern Seas
Mahō Shōjo: A Story of Might Lost
Revolution was released with a complete overhaul, taking advantage of all the features that were introduced in Fated Ends, as well as adding new features. These included entirely revamped character sheets, and the removal of most physical character sheets (though including the option to download and print digital ones).
The purpose behind this was due to the complete connection of character sheets, and data sheets, to the overall databases, to allow for the auto-population of information, where users could input their data, and get it filled, and to be accurate.
A Quest of Fates: Rise of the Third Age - Tales of Fy'rae
A Quest of Fates: Fall of the Third Age - The Children's War & Tales of Joy
Star Wars: Companion Aurek
Naruto: Echoes of War
Corvus is the most current edition, and the one that is currently only available to select testers, as it is currently only in pre-alpha phase. This edition skilled the entire previous release schedule of using X.5 as a testbed for future editions. The reasoning for this is that there were too many things to add and introduce to phase them through different developments.
The idea came from the complete overhaul introduced in the Revolution edition, where the ideas were able to work together properly, but showcased gaps where user-error could still be made. This version aims to remove most areas where users could commit errors that would break codes, as well as to introduce properly balanced lists of species to the two prototype games, with over 2,000 playable species in each, as well as allow for the easy generation of new ones by users.
A Quest of Fates: The Fourth Age of Gwalethia
The Third Age has ended, and the Fourth Age has begun. The Age of Discourse, where magic runs wild, and faith wanes. It is time to find your place in this world, to find a way to survive, strive, and most of all, to break free from your fate, or to embrace it.
